Nothing But A Pea Beneath Your Sheets
Layers upon layers, Pressing down, Engulfing and enveloping. Smothering, as if a pillow Were not enough to get the job done, You weigh upon me, Bear down on me, Like all the weight of the world Piled atop my head. And then you have the nerve To cry out in pain, As if it were my fault. An inconvenience I placed upon you, Suffocating and entangled. You crush me while bemoaning Your unpleasant situation And I die beneath the burden Of every mistake you've made. Forgive me, Princess, For getting in your way.
