starting in April. Each year the college hosts "Poetry Otherwise," a
week long poetry workshop programme with many guest teachers, and there
are other weekend course through the year. The coordinator for all the
creative writing courses is Paul Matthews, author of Sing Me the
Creation (Hawthorn Press) and The Ground That Love Seeks (Five

- Velveteen Rabbi
Velveteen Rabbi shows not only a technical mastery of many forms as well as free verse, the poetry also connects with real world subject matters in a way designed to be understood and felt. As the name suggests, the subjects and imagery are richly religious, and yet they speak to unbelievers as well. And the poet's commentaries on his own verse are extraordinarily useful, especially to those just starting out on the road to strong verse: Clear and powerful, through the use of all the poets' tools. -- OSC
