Quiet Storms

Your breath reminds me of a storm
the way it sinks me under crashing
waves of blankets folding end over end
breaking apart into tangled mess

We tread above the surface
as wind lifts us
curling one into the other
while lightening lives within
and ignites each moment
as your touch drowns my skin

We catch our breath
only to lose it again
