Poem for the couple's counselor
Just needed to tell someone how much I hate it here the sunshine and rain dappled deck and pine furniture the neighbors who wave hello and the clean breeze off the lake that merely makes cold our room that hangs with robust hostility and arguments about why we argue and perfunctory I love yous or none at all and pregnant pauses that end in miscarriages and telephone lines that give out due to blasts of silence and textual misuse and the fact that there is no where to hide except to just keep running to fall into the arms of another test of sanity
