Author Biography
Justin Taylor
Justin Taylor was born and raised in North Miami Beach, Florida but considers Gainesville his adopted hometown. He earned a bachelor's degree in English at the University of Florida, where he divided his time between creative writing, critical theory, and the Civic Media Center, the country's longest-surviving info-shop and the first institution of its kind when it was founded. He spent three years as a host of the CMC's legendary Poetry Jam, the oldest open-mic event in Gainesville. After graduating, Justin moved briefly to Franklin, Tennessee, which is outside of Nashville. He currently lives in New York City, where he interns at the national weekly newsmagazine The Nation. |
