David lives in Glenrothes, Scotland with his wife Christine. He gained an Advanced Diploma in Computing from Herriot Watt University in 1986 and Graduated from the University of Strathclyde as a Further Education lecturer in 1991.

He started writing in 2003 and did achieve some literary success the following year - David was in the last six for the BBC 'End of Story' for the Shaun Hutson section and was flown down to London for filming at the BBC studios. The programme was broadcast in October 2004.

David has had positive reviews for my poetry including several "Picks of the week" on the "Writers Dock" website - Formed after the closure of the BBCi site "Get Writing". He has also had his work featured on Poetry Scotland, Poetic Hours, Snakeskin, Decanto and Poetry, Songs and Writers of Scotland.
