Lee Evans was born in Annapolis, Maryland in 1950. After graduating from college, he worked as a landscape laborer, floral delivery person, and Goodwill Industries trailer attendant before settling into a job at the Maryland State Archives, where he is now. His interests are literature, philosophy, and eastern religion; he considers himself a contemplative more than anything else. His wife of over twenty years and two cats live in Edgewater, Maryland, south of Annapolis.
