Author Biography
Rose Drew
Rose Drew is a bio-anthropologist with a focus on human skeletal material from archaeological
contexts and has moved to York to pursue a PhD in Archaeology from the University of York.
Her day job consists of interpreting lifestyle and behavior from skeletal remains; but at night she
can be found reading her poems as often and as loudly as possible. No subject is safe; no topic
off limits. Rose has founded The Spoken Word Open Mic Poetry and Prose venue in York which
has recently been featured, as a group, on Radio Ryedale, and she was the co-founder of a
popular Open Mic in CT, America that is still running after 4 years
